Why need it ?

Normally, we use bios password to protect PC. Is it enough ? If somebody  move the hard drive to another computer, he can access all  the data . So , you need a locker protect hard drive.

Magic Locker use random key to encrypt the partition table , If user does not know the password , the hard drive looks like unformatted disk. 

And we designed one magic feature : When hard drive locked , the floppy disk and cdrom unable to boot system. Even if the hard drive moved to another computer. This feature prevents analyze and crack .

How to play ?

If you want to validate the function of Magic Locker , try  to do the below:

1. Make a bootable floppy disk .(It can be made in control-panel of windows)

2. Lock hard drive with Magic Locker.

3. Boot from hard drive , you can see the password protected screen.

4. If you type the correct password , the hard drive would be unlocked . Please don't    unlock disk ,  and reboot system from floppy .You will find that ,  LED of HDD always lights , system halt .

5. Move this hard drive to another computer , and set as second disk. Try to boot from first hard drive , you will see the same phenomenon, system halt.

Disbelieve it ? Free your mind , it's true !

How to refresh cmos memory?

If you forget cmos password ,  you should open the computer and use jump cable to refresh it. For a lot of notebook, it's very difficult to open . This tool is easy to use, just click the 'refresh' button ,cmos will be loaded to default after reboot.

Why 'Fatal Error' ?

If you run 'Magic locker' in winnt ,2000,xp ,please be sure you are logon as administrator user .If not , you would see the 'Fatal Error' message. Because , in NT kernel , restricted user can't access the physical sectors.

What should we notice ?

Please remember your password ,it's difficult  to decrypt. And don't use it for illegal purpose. I have heard of  that somebody use it lock the hard drive and send back to the seller . 'Magic Locker ' simulates hardware faulty , but looks like real hardware faulty. If you use it for illegal purpose ,you should take all the responsibility !!!
